Marketplace Austin Flea Market
Volunteer with LWVAA at the Austin Marketplace Flea Market as we connect with our community and help get out the vote for the March 3 primary! Volunteers will staff a table, distribute our Voters Guide, and share key election information with flea market shoppers.

Texas is experiencing rapid growth in data centers powering artificial intelligence and cloud computing. What does this expansion mean for the electric grid, water supplies, air quality, and consumer costs? Join experts from Rewiring America, the Houston Advanced Research Center, and Frontier Group for a fact-based discussion on projected demand growth, water use, pollution impacts, and the policy options available to manage this growth responsibly. Tuesday, March 3, 2026 (Election Day) at 7:00 p.m. if carrier envelope is not postmarked, OR Wednesday, March 4, 2026 (next business day after Election Day) at 5:00 p.m. if carrier envelope is postmarked by 7:00 p.m. at the location of the election on Election Day (unless overseas or military voter deadlines apply)
6:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. March 5: Amplify Austin Day is the biggest giving event in Central Texas. For 24 hours, residents across our seven-county region will help support the local nonprofits that do so much good for our community! Your contribution to LWVAA will help us continue to provide accurate and unbiased voting information so that voters will be well-prepared when they cast their ballots.
5:30 - 9:30 p.m. - Texas Legal Services Center kicks off Amplify Austin Day with a screening of the film On the Basis of Sex, celebrating the life and legacy of the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. 11:00 a.m. (in person & online) - The morning after the March 3 primary election, TribCast co-host and Tribune law and politics reporter Eleanor Klibanoff, along with a panel of experts will analyze the results of the Senate race, discuss the battles for the Texas Legislature, and take a look at the races that are going to runoffs. 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. - 2026 marks America‘s 250th birthday, and the LBJ Future Forum is marking the occasion by reflecting on the state of democracy after 250 years. Perhaps no piece of legislation reflects our political moment as much as the Voting Rights Act, landmark legislation signed by President Johnson that has been transformed by the courts and the current administration. This event will be an exploration of the state of the Voting Rights Act and voting rights overall in America in 2026. Note: This is a community event not affiliated with LWVAA.
