The League of Women Voters Austin Area, Travis County Voter Registrar, and Travis County Clerk offices have for many years partnered to offer the First Vote! program to high schools throughout Travis County.
Beyond simply registering students to vote, the aim of First Vote! is to reach high school students and encourage them to begin the path toward lifelong civic participation with our engaging TEKS aligned curriculum and voter registration.
First Vote! prioritizes addressing student-specific concerns, equipping them with the voting knowledge and nonpartisan resources they will need before casting their first vote.
