Are you a member looking to get more involved in the League this year, or have you thought about joining the League but wondered how to put your skills to work? Do you believe that informed citizens make a stronger democracy? Do you like creating or presenting engaging, informative content? Then you might find your sweet spot with the LWVAA Speakers Bureau!
Join us on Zoom at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, to learn more (Zoom link provided upon registration).
The Speakers Bureau team is already busy creating a repository of audience-ready presentations and has begun training speakers. If public speaking isn't for you, there are plenty of opportunities to work behind the scenes! In addition to speakers, we need volunteers who can
- Mentor and train speakers
- Review and update current presentations and create new ones
- Create graphics and slide decks
- Do fact-checking and research
- Help schedule speakers and presentations
