About this event

Join Austin PBS for a screening of Ken Burns’ The American Revolution followed by a thoughtful community conversation.

A panel of influential educators and experts will join Laura Laughead of Austin InSight  for a conversation on the lessons we’re still learning today from the revolution. Hear from Rock the Vote alumn Mark Strama, Bullock Texas State History Museum Director Margaret Koch, LASA teacher Kim Pettigrew, and Texas State University History Professor Frank de la Teja.

This evening is designed to bring together civic, education, and community leaders to reflect on the history, ideals, and ongoing impact of the American Revolution and explore how those themes connect to civic engagement today.
