District 8 City Council Candidate Forum
About this event
Get ready to vote in the Austin City Council Elections!
How should Southwest Austin grow while protecting the places and resources residents value? Hear from District 8 City Council candidates at a nonpartisan forum moderated by the League of Women Voters of the Austin Area. Planned topics include housing and development, transportation infrastructure, support for local businesses, water quality, and the resource demands of data centers. The conversation will also explore wildfire preparedness, emergency response, and city spending priorities. Join your neighbors to compare candidates’ ideas for the district’s future and make an informed decision at the ballot box.
Can't make it in person? No problem! Every candidate forum will be aired live on ATXN and KAZI FM 88.7. Recordings of the panels will also be posted after the event on ATXN’s YouTube channel and linked on the Travis County Voter Info site.
Registration isn't required, but your RSVP will help us plan. If you need assistance with registration, please email Joyce Jackson.
