District 5 City Council Candidate Forum
About this event
Get ready to vote in the Austin City Council Elections!
Housing choices, safer streets, and neighborhood investment are on the agenda for the District 5 City Council Candidate Forum. Join the League of Women Voters of the Austin Area for a nonpartisan conversation exploring housing affordability, transportation along South Lamar and other major corridors, and priorities for parks, drainage, and city spending. Planned topics also include balancing redevelopment with environmental protection and reducing construction disruptions for residents and local businesses. Bring a neighbor, hear the candidates’ approaches, and leave better prepared to make your choice.
Can't make it in person? No problem! Every candidate forum will be aired live on ATXN and KAZI FM 88.7. Recordings of the panels will also be posted after the event on ATXN’s YouTube channel and linked on the Travis County Voter Info site.
Registration isn't required, but your RSVP will help us plan. If you need assistance with registration, please email Joyce Jackson.
