Tabling Coordinator for Austin Community College

Description: Interact with ACC tabling request system to request dates to table at ACC. Recruit VDRs and leads for each campus, etc. Leverage experience from previous years for choosing good dates.

Time commitment: A few hours each semester to secure the dates and then a few hours to recruit leads. Coordination is usually done via email

Tabling Coordinator for St. Edwards, UT, Concordia

Description: We have been invited to table at specific events at St. Edwards, UT and Concordia in the past. The Tabling Coordinator will connect with our existing contacts to schedule tabling and recruit VDRs and leads for each event.

Time commitment:  Seasonal, depending on events. Coordination is usually done via email.

Lead VDR - Indoors Events

Description:  Must be an experienced VDR (we can train you) and have time/transportation to arrange for supply pick up from the LWV-AA office or to coordinate with Susana, Valerie, or other leads to meet up. Supply requirements depend on the event, but LWV has everything needed.

Time commitment: It depends on how many events you sign up to lead, so the commitment is up to you. For a single tabling event, the lead either commits to the entire event for shorter events or might have the option to pick AM/PM lead shifts for longer events. Plus, the time to pick up/drop off materials and turn in forms.

Lead VDR - Outdoors Events

Description: Must be an experienced VDR (we can train you) and have time/transportation to arrange for supply pick up from the LWV-AA office or to coordinate with Susana, Valerie, or other leads to meet up. LWV has all the supplies, including wagon carts, but the lead must be able to handle the canopy, weights, and folding tables, or have someone to help you.

Time commitment: It depends on how many events you sign up to lead, so the commitment is up to you. For each event, the lead either commits to the entire event or can choose AM/PM lead shifts for longer events. Plus, the time to pick up/drop off materials and turn in forms.

Alamo Drafthouse Lead VDR - various locations

Description: Must be an experienced VDR (we can train you) and be able to turn in applications. Each Alamo location keeps our voter registration kits and provides us with a table and chairs.

Time commitment: Our goal is to have a lead at each Alamo location every week for a 3-hour shift. We currently staff Alamo Lamar every Friday evening, Alamo Lakeline every Saturday evening, and will soon resume staffing Alamo Mueller every Friday. We need more volunteers to add to the rotation or serve as back-ups so we don’t miss any weekends.

Tabling Request Coordinator

Description: Remote role. This person does not need to be a VDR, but will need to interact with VDRs (e-mail, Slack, etc.) to track any tabling requests LWV-AA receives, follow up with questions as needed, and keep our internal spreadsheet-based calendars updated.

Time commitment:  1 hour per week or less, most of the year. Near major voter registration deadlines (e.g., ahead of the March primary and the November general election), the Tabling Request Coordinator will likely need to dedicate 30 min daily on average to keep up with requests and the calendar.

Sign Up Genius - Sign Up Creator

Description: Create and edit sign-ups using the LWV-AA Sign Up Genius account. Interact with experienced SignUpGenius admins (via email, Slack, etc.) to ensure shifts and staffing are appropriate. Send recruitment emails after a sign-up is created.

Time commitment: Usually less than 1 hour per week, but it can get much busier close to deadlines. We can have a few Sign-Up Creators to help share the load during busy times.
