We are registering voters and providing voting information to new citizens after they complete their Naturalization Ceremony! If you're a 2023-2024 certified Volunteer Deputy Registrar, we would love to have you join us! We provide everything, including forms, table, chairs, etc. All you need to bring is your enthusiasm, a water bottle, and your VDR number(s).
The Austin Central Library periodically hosts Naturalization Ceremonies. Prospective new citizens bring their families to witness the completion of their naturalization process. Once they are formally new citizens, we help them get registered to vote and empower them to exercise this newly earned right as an American citizen.
Parking at the library garage is limited and reserved for new citizens and their family. If driving, please use street parking or other nearby garages. We recommend carpooling, using car sharing services, or using public transportation. The bus stop on Cesar Chavez serves multiple bus routes.
The League of Women Voters Austin Area is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and tax exempt organization. Donations are tax deductible to the extent allowable under the law. Tax identification number: 81-3447172
