For the Upcoming Election

 

Last day to register for the May 6, 2017 General and Special Local election is Thursday, April 6.

Ballot by mail applications MUST be received by Tuesday, April 25.

Early Voting is Monday, April 24 through Tuesday, May 2.

Election day is Saturday, May 6.


The Austin Area League will publish a Voters Guide on or before the start of early voting. It will be on this web page.

If you do not have a valid Texas Diver License or one of the other approved forms of ID, you can apply for an Election Identification Certificate (EIC) at any DPS office in Texas.  You do not need to apply in your home county. A list of the offices can be found here and currently scheduled mobile locations can be found here.


Want to vote by mail? In Texas, you can request a mail-in ballot if you are:

  • 65 years or older;
  • disabled;
  • out of the county on election day and during the period for early voting by personal appearance; or
  • confined in jail, but otherwise eligible
