For the Upcoming Election

Last day to register for the December 13th runoff election is Monday, November 14.

Ballot by mail applications MUST be received by Friday, December 2, 2016.

(After several changes…) Early Voting is Thursday, December 1 through Friday, December 9.

Election day is Tuesday, December 13.

Austin City Council District 10 Candidate Forum sponsored by Austin League of Women Voters and Austin Ethics Review Commission will be held on November 29 – 6:00 – 7:00 in the Austin City Council Chambers at 302 W. 2nd Street.

If you do not have a valid Texas Diver License or one of the other approved forms of ID, you can apply for an Election Identification Certificate (EIC) at any DPS office in Texas.  You do not need to apply in your home county. A list of the offices can be found here and currently scheduled mobile locations can be found here.

Want to vote by mail? In Texas, you can request a mail-in ballot if you are:

  • 65 years or older;
  • disabled;
  • out of the county on election day and during the period for early voting by personal appearance; or
  • confined in jail, but otherwise eligible
